Cloth nappy brand Bambino Mio has received the National Exporter of the Year award at the 2017 British Small Business Awards. With its alternative nappies, the Brixworth-based British company is the most widely used cloth nappy brand on the domestic market. Bambino Mio has also increased its relevance beyond the borders of the UK.

The British Small Business Awards were held on 16 October 2017 to celebrate and honour the British small business sector. The event focuses on the country’s best individual entrepreneurs, micro-enterprises, and small businesses. They are judged by a high-level jury of industry experts, including successful entrepreneur Sir Rod Aldridge.

Cloth nappy manufacturer Bambino Mio has been in business for 20 years. Since 1997, the company has demonstrated continued engagement, offering mothers and fathers around the world a great selection of simple, stylish, and environmentally friendly products from birth to potty training. Bambino Mio continues to demonstrate the small business sector’s ability to succeed in international markets. The company has significantly increased its export sales each year. Bambino Mio’s cloth nappies and related products are sold in markets such as the USA, France, Germany, Spain, and Australia. These achievements are the fruit of Bambino Mio’s direct collaboration with retailers in these markets and their proactive support and extensive marketing activities for their partners around the world.

The company is all the more pleased with the official recognition of its many years of work: “We are very pleased to receive this award and we are working hard to offer one of the most accessible reusable nappies in more than 50 countries,” said CEO Guy Schanschieff.
