The Latvian designer Zīle Dāvidsone launched her brand, Briah, this year. The young label kind of is a continuation of the Dāvidsone Black Bag brand launched in 2014. With Briah, the designer now wants to concentrate on bags for strollers that reflect the woman’s personal style. The idea for this had already matured with Black Bag, where there was already a baby carriage bag to be seen.

The first Briah collection now consists of two differently sized stroller bags which are also used as shoulder bags and can be worn long after the baby grows out.

Briah means “strong woman” in Latvian. The corresponding concept of Zīle Dāvidsone follows the Slow Fashion philosophy. The designs are made to offer accessories for a woman who has already developed her own personal style. The bag takes part in the daily lifestyle, even if the baby has long since outgrown its nappy age. Work, workout, a weekend trip - Briah is the perfect companion. The models made of pure cowhide leather have practical compartments and are produced exclusively in Riga.

Zīle Dāvidsone plans to launch new collections only once a year. Next year’s collection includes new models of shoulder bags and backpacks in different sizes.

The first collection, on the other hand, focuses entirely on the stroller bag. “It is important to me to create aesthetic and functional products at the same time. This is why I designed the Briah bags for young mothers to meet their daily needs with the help of this accessory,” says the Latvian designer.
