Joie GmbH celebrated its fifth anniversary in August. And not only that: The company has recently been renamed to Allison GmbH and has moved its 40-member team to newly built company headquarters in Frankenthal.

Sales increase of around 70 percent

The company, which was founded in summer 2013 by Oliver Mecky and Sven Hering, has grown rapidly over the past five years. In 2017, the company increased its turnover by around 70 percent. The Joie and Nuna brands are in demand among young families in Germany and Austria. From strollers and buggies to baby carriers, car seats and rockers to highchairs and travel cots, the GmbH, now renamed Allison, offers a diverse range of children’s products.

New name and headquarters

“With a neutral name we can position the brands Joie and Nuna and soon the new brand Graco even better. We are currently developing a sales strategy for Graco in Germany and Austria,” explains Managing Director Oliver Mecky.  “And why Allison? As a company, we belong to the international Wonderland Nurserygoods Group. Allison in Wonderland is a perfect match for us and our products”.

In addition, the company headquarters were relocated to Frankenthal. With office space spread over two floors, there is plenty of space for the after-sales service and the product showroom for the Joie and Nuna brands.

Ideal conditions for growth

“Statistics and studies show that the number of births has been rising steadily for several years and parents are spending more and more money on their children. For us, these are ideal growth conditions,” says Oliver Mecky. “In order to keep pace with this development, we have created space for around 70 employees in our new building in Frankenthal.“
