At the same time as the Copenhagen Fashionweek and the CIFF fair, the children’s fashion fair CIFF Youth took place in Copenhagen again this season. In the Bella Center, both Scandinavian and international exhibitors showed their collections for the summer of 2020.

The exhibitors at the CIFF Youth SS20

In an exuberant atmosphere, the CIFF Youth, as one of the last fashion fairs, showed brands and collections for the coming season SS20. Numerous journalists as well as buyers came together for Scandinavian brands such as MarMar Copenhagen, Soft Gallery or Wheat. In addition, internationally established companies such as Levi’s, G-Star Raw and Kids Only also presented next year’s summer collections. Apart from fashion, numerous exhibitors from the nursery, interior design and toys segments were also represented. Among them were labels such as Liewood or A Little Lovely Company.

Trend preview SS20

A recurring theme at the fair were colourful prints, which served as inspiration for the collections this season, especially in the form of small fruits and plants. Soft Gallery not only featured a wide variety of fruit on shirts, trousers, dresses and the like, but also found inspiration in the stand design. The Danes presented a small mobilé of plants and fruits as part of their new edition. The Spanish label The Campamento also featured numerous elements of nature. The collection is intended to remind us of a perfect summer in a Mediterranean environment. “This season we are dreaming of the perfect summer holidays, during which we will splash around with friends, eat fruit, read books and ride our bicycles,” the label said. But sustainability and environmental awareness were also high on the agenda in this year’s trade fair edition. Hust & Claire presented versatile baby collections made of GOTS-certified fabrics in a muted colour palette.

New exhibitors round off the programme

Of course, newcomer brands that were present at the CIFF Youth for the first time were also particularly interesting. The Turkish-based label Ozmoz, for example, was at a trade fair for the first time ever and presented beach and swimwear with a sustainable background. “We developed a completely new “Clean and Safe” process for newborns and babies. The products are produced without the addition of chemicals, gently cleaned and finally packaged safely. Suitable for direct carrying, without prior washing”.
