Since 1 February 2019, 42-year-old Marco Terriuolo has been the new DACH Sales Manager at Dorel Germany, based in Frechen. The management and further development of the sales force in the region are his new focal points. In addition, he will continue to drive the change to the Omni-Channel market and contribute significantly to the growth of Dorel Germany.

Terrioulo is not a newcomer to the industry. He previously worked for Kiddy and has many years of experience in the international fashion and food industry. “We are confident that with Marco Terriuolo we have found a strong sales leader. With his extensive know-how and many years of industry expertise, he represents an enormous gain for Dorel,” says Michael Neumann, Managing Director of Dorel Northern Europe. “We are very much looking forward to a successful cooperation with new impulses and exciting developments.”

Dorel Juvenile Europe strengthens senior management

In order to revive business in Europe, top management at the Canadian Dorel Juvenil Europe Group is also being restructured.

Dorel Industries Inc. has appointed Raul Sepulveda as the new President and CEO of Dorel Juvenile Europe (DJE). He replaces Charles De Kervénoaël, who has left the company. Adriano Nascentes, previously at Dorel Sports, has taken over the newly created position of COO.

Sepulveda has been part of Dorel since 2011 and joined Dorel Juvenile as Group Brand Manager Chile. In 2016 he became Global Brand Director of Maxi-Cosi. Most recently, in January 2018, he assumed the position of Vice President Maxi-Cosi-Quinny to support and drive business development.
Nascentes was most recently General Manager of Dorel Sports’ Cycling Sports Group Europe. Previously, he was CFO of Caloi for six years. At the beginning of his career, he held a number of positions at Kraft Foods and Deloitte in the USA and Brazil. “He has a strong track record in developing successful strategies and delivering results”, the company said.
Nascentes´ position will be filled by Eugene Fierkens, who joined Specialized Bicycle in 2004 and has held various executive positions in Europe, most recently as Global Leader, Business Development.

Restructuring to build European business

“Conditions in Europe have been difficult for some time and we have seen that significant improvements are needed”, said Dorel Managing Director Martin Schwartz. “DJE is moving forward and we are confident that Raul’s proven management skills and his strengths in product development and marketing, supported by Adriano, will have a positive impact on our European business. Our Juvenil products continue to be well received by consumers. We expect to continue to make progress with this new leadership team and seize opportunities to build market share and customer loyalty in order to achieve sustainable growth in 2019 and beyond.
