FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo: The trade fair duo is growing dynamically
The trade platform for the children’s outfitting industry is entering its third round. From 7 to 10 June 2018, the trade fair duo will once again be inviting visitors to the Expo Center Norte in São Paulo, Brazil. The area of Pueri Expo has tripled compared to the last edition. The 13,000 m² exhibitor area is already fully booked. Over 8,000 trade visitors from Brazil and abroad are expected.
“In just three years, the trade fair duo has established itself as the most relevant industry platform in the region for the entire children’s outfitting industry. The unique trade fair mix of children’s fashion, baby and children’s essentials and, for the first time in 2018, toys, is attracting the undivided interest of boutiques, specialist retailers and other purchasing groups,” stresses Denis Steker, International Division Manager of Koelnmesse GmbH.
Pueri Expo presents international & Brazilian brands
At this year’s Pueri Expo, international and Brazilian brands will be represented with products from the children’s outfitting sector. These include major international brands, such as: ABC Design, Artsana, Bumbo, Cybex, Dorel, Ergobaby, goodbaby, MAM, Munchkin, NUK, Philips Avent and Trunki. Exhibitors from the Netherlands, Peru and the USA will be presenting their products for the first time: “We are delighted to welcome dooky from the Netherlands and Dreambaby, Raz Baby, Your Baby and Vital Baby Innovations from the USA and Canada, among others. Peru will be represented with a pavilion featuring the brands Petite Fourmi, Collorful Cotton, Cocotfyma, Hippo, Bell & Blu and Zoe Grados,” says Mr. Cassiano Facchinetti, Managing Director of Koelnmesse in Brazil and organizer of both fairs.
Top Brazilian brands such as Buba Toys, Burigotto (a partner company of the Italian vendor Peg-Pérego), Divicar, Galzerano and Neopan, Kiddo, Líder, Lolly, Multikids, Quater and Teamtex will also be present at the fair. New exhibitors from Brazil include: Aurora Sling, Baby Pil, Decorfun, Divicar, Neopan, Lolly, Penka and Teliê.
Growth in children’s fashion
New estimates by the market institute IEMI predict that by the end of 2018, retail sales of clothing and footwear for children (0-16 years) will reach revenues of 9.9 billion euros (42.5 billion real). This would represent an increase of 10.1 percent compared to 2017. This also influences FIT 0/16. International brands such as Calvin Klein Jeans Junior and Tommy Hilfiger Kids will once again be represented at the Expo Center. Brazilian brands such as Alphabeto, Animê, Inquérito, Mon Sucré, Petit Cherie and Pituchinhu’s will also be exhibiting at the fair. In this edition, the children’s fashion brands D’Bella for Baby, Kafka Baby, Kirash, Magah Beachwear, Parangolé, Pukeko and Yo love Yo will present their collections for the first time.
Diverse event and supporting program
The event and supporting program represents an important and interesting platform for knowledge transfer and trends for exhibitors and trade visitors. There will be fashion shows by Amofany, Daya and Animê. Visitors to the “New Product Showroom” at Pueri Expo will also be offered a trend space on children’s fashion trends for 2019.
“In addition to the main trends in children’s fashion and equipment, the two trade fairs FIT 0/16 and Pueri Expo also offer specialist retailers various techniques for increasing sales. Free presentations will include tips on increasing sales with Facebook and Instagram, employee training, customer profiles and visual merchandising for window displays,” says Facchinetti.
Motto: “Big business for little consumers”
True to the motto “Big business for little consumers”, the trade fair duo consisting of Pueri Expo and FIT 0/16 serves the baby and child segment of the Brazilian retail trade. The Pueri Expo takes place once a year and is a satellite event of the Kind + Jugend, the world’s leading trade fair for the industry. FIT 0/16, the international trade fair for baby & children’s clothing, has been established on the market for more than 25 years and presents baby and children’s fashion from international exhibitors twice a year.
