From 10 to 12 March 2019 the international trade fair for shoes and accessories, the Gallery Shoes, will take place on the Böhler Düsseldorf site. In the Kids’ Zone, the trends of the coming Autumn/Winter 2019/20 collections can be ordered in a relaxed atmosphere.

The Gallery Shoes is already taking place for the fourth time. Over 100 children’s shoe brands will be exhibiting in the kids’ area of the stainless steel hall. The range extends from natural shoes in muted colours to unusual models with LED lights, Glow in the Dark and animal and comic applications. Topics such as candy, cookies, confetti, cupcakes, llamas and leos should not be missing. In addition, this year’s issue will focus on current trends such as sustainability – even among the youngest ones.

This year, brands such as Mabelo and Playshoes from Germany, Tomm Shoes from Poland and Vicco from Turkey will be presenting their new collections for the first time. The following brands will also be represented at the fair: Anna and Paul, Bisgaard, Catwalk, Tanga, Moschino Baby Kid Teen, Affenzahn, Boby, Melania and many more. Also Refresh, Superga, Toffee, Vista and Yabbies.

“The event is in dynamic motion with extremely positive developments,” says Igedo Managing Director and project manager Ulrike Kähler. “At the fourth edition, trade visitors can expect new exciting brands with greats such as Clarks, but also many exciting newcomers such as EYS, BNSM (Basics Natural Spirit in Motion) and Mythoo. For example, we have redesigned the ‘Halle am Wasserturm’ for 40 brands with names such as Cinque Shoes or Colmar Footwear. These also include 15 new brands such as Alba Moda, Manas or Womsh from Italy”.

Gallery Shoes offers an extensive supporting programme

The Gallery Shoes brings together a total of 500 brands presented by around 350 exhibitors. Over 9500 trade visitors are expected. There will also be an extensive supporting programme. In addition to regular fashion shows, Orderinfo, the textile industry’s trade fair, will take place, where relevant specialist questions will be discussed. Also on the programme: the subject of sustainability in leather production, which is the focus of a lecture by Oeko-Tex. The presentation of the HDS-L Junior Award, which honours special achievements by up-and-coming talents who charge the product shoe with innovative power, will also be presented: under the motto ‘Sport meets fashion – open minded’, the focus this time will be on sports sandals.

“Today, these competent industry bodies are an integral part of the Gallery Shoes. They go with us as partners and anchor the platform in the industry: just as strong brands as the fashion brand Marc Cain, which is once again the main partner of the catwalk in the Fashion Lifestyle Corner in the ‘Kaltstahlhalle’. As an additional supporting programme, we are once again offering four daily shows: With fashion and shoes by Marc Cain as well as matching eyecatchers by Högl, Peter Kaiser and – new – Tosca Blu as additional partners”, adds Ulrike Kähler.
