Young manufacturer Enfance from Paris offers products in a stylish design for babies (0-3 years old) as well as for children at the age of 3 to 8 and 8 to 12 years. Soaps made by Enfance do not contain any chemicals, parabenes, conservation substances, paraffins and artificial colouring. The line of cosmetic products made by french manufacturer Minois does without parabenes, sulphates, phenoxyethanol, silicons and artificial colouring.

Good to know:

Parabenes and phenoxyethanol are so-called conservation substances being contained in many cosmetic products. Conservation is necessary to prevent the formation of germs in cosmetics but the substances can also produce allergies. Sulphates are parts of the group of tensides which strongly degrease and dry out hair. Many creams and shampoos contain silicons which block pores and sweat glands in the long term. They can be recognized at the endings “-cone” or “-xane”. Look at dethicone, methicone, polysiloxane or cyclomethicone.

Many chemicals for artificial colouring contain aromatic amines or aniline and they are suspected of causing cancer. Paraffins basically are nothing else than products made of petroleum and among other things they are called Vaseline, Mineral Oil, Petrolatum, Praffinum Liquidum, Paraffinum Subliquidum, Cera Microtistallina, Microcrytalline Wax, Ozokerit or Ceresin. Paraffins hinder the self regeneration of skin and possibly harm its protective acid coat. Consequently skin cannot breathe any more and dries out.
