The toy manufacturer Hape Toys and the doll manufacturer Käthe Kruse now also act as a joint sales and marketing organisation.

Hape Holding AG already took over Käthe Kruse Production and distribution GmbH in 2013. Through the cooperation of the toy companies, extended possibilities in development and production were created. As of April 1, 2019, they will also act as a joint sales and marketing organization on the German market.

Hape portfolio to be expanded

Until now, Käthe Kruse was the only brand within the Hape Group – which also includes PolyM Manufaktur GmbH – that could not be ordered centrally. Käthe Kruse is the oldest German doll manufacturer and producer of the classic Käthe Kruse doll as well as play dolls, Waldorf dolls and developmental toddler toys.

The Hape Group is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of sustainable toys and currently sells its products in over 50 countries. The international network will now also enable Käthe Kruse to expand its sales opportunities through the merger.

From April, Käthe Kruse’s sales and marketing and logistics departments will be managed from the Hape location in Mücke. The plant and product development will remain at the Donauwörth location.
