Since its foundation, the company has placed great value on trustworthy cooperation with its suppliers, who, together with hessnatur, have decided and committed themselves to ecologically and socially fair production. hessnatur has been working with almost 70 percent of its more than 100 partners for at least five years. It is always an important concern of the company to communicate openly about the conditions under which the sustainable product range is produced.
Next step towards greater transparency
Customers can now see online which partners hessnatur works with on a global scale, where the materials come from and which social projects are supported. The company also provides insights into the working world of the producers. In the future, the range of information will be constantly expanded.
Encyclopedia for sustainable fashion
In addition, there is a new hessnatur encyclopedia, which provides online information on over 267 terms relating to the materials, their ecological processing and hessnatur’s high social standards. These include terms such as audit, organic cotton or chrome-free tanned leather.
hessnatur launched its first natural baby collection
In 1976, the founders Heinz and Dorothea Hess launched the first natural baby collection. Today, the textile company employs around 340 people and, in addition to its online shop and catalogue distribution, operates stores in Butzbach, Düsseldorf, Frankfurt, Hamburg and Munich.
