Huawei and Annakiki designer Anna Yang jointly developed the “Fashion Flair” collection using artificial intelligence.

Is this the fashion of the future? What sounds like a science fiction film has come true. During an exclusive fashion show at superStudio+ in Milan last week, the Chinese company Huawei presented the first collection produced using artificial intelligence.

Fashion meets technology

“Fashion Flair” is a unique 20-piece collection. Using the artificial intelligence of the smartphone designed by Huawei p30 and Huawei P30 Pro and finally Annakiki designer Anna Yang, was completed.

Designing fashion by app

For this purpose Huawei specially developed its own app, which analysed ten thousand iconic fashion creations of the last 100 years as well as the previous collections of Annakiki. Using several filters selected by the designer, the first outfit designs were created. The app can create the processing of all images of an infinite number of designs. What Anna Yang offers without any creative possibilities.

The mobile phone as inspiration

Anna Yang decided to pick up the colour palette of the Huawei P30 series. The four most important garments in the collection reflect the dazzling colours: Amber Sunrise, Breathing Crystal, Aurora and Black. The resulting designs of the collection are the expression of a strong personality. It is characterised by energetic vitality, femininity, self-confidence and determination.

Creative technique

With this experientellem project Huawei shows how technology can positively influence and support creativity. “The co-creation with the technology was extremely stimulating. I am sure that technology will play a decisive role in the fashion world in the future. It opens up completely new scenarios for us that we can only dream of today,” says designer Anna Yang about the unusual collaboration.
