The Swedish textile company Monki is launching its first capsule collection for children under the motto “Next Generation” for the SS18 season.

The limited capsule appears in 100% soft organic cotton, with the prints “Peace Please” and “Love is the colour of the rainbow” the message “Love & Peace” is to be expressed. With the styles in small sizes the coming generation should be made familiar with Monki.

Monki has been a young ladies’ brand of the Scandinavian H&M Group for around 11 years. Starting in Sweden, countries such as China, Denmark, Germany, Austria, Finland, France, Hong Kong, Norway, Russia and the Netherlands now operate their own Monki Stores (115 stores in total). Via the online shop, 18 countries are served by the storytelling brand.

Since 2018, the subsidiary of the Hennes & Mauritz Group has been focused on shop expansion. Three additional stores are to be opened within Germany in the course of this year. For the German cities of Düsseldorf and Mannheim, this would be the first branch in the major cities, according to Monki. After the store expansion, Berlin could already welcome the third Concept Retail Store. According to the Swedish company, the location will be the “East Side Mall” on Warschauer Strasse in the district of Friedrichshain, which is still under construction and is to be opened and thus put into operation in fall 2018.

“We are very pleased to see how successful Monki has developed in the German market,” said Lea Rytz Goldman, Managing Director of the brand to the online portal Fashion United. “Whether online or offline, we always get fantastic feedback from our large fan base and it, therefore, is a great pleasure for us to bring the complete Monki feeling to our fans in Mannheim and Düsseldorf and to open the third store in Berlin.”

Instead of the stores that are currently opened already, the exclusive children’s capsule collection will only be available online at from mid-July onwards.
