In June 2017, New Fashion Kids B.V began insolvency proceedings. Now we can report some good news about the next act. Jottum, the Dutch company’s premium children’s fashion brand, has been taken over and is therefore not affected by the insolvency.

The new owner, Elly van Valkengoed-Hennessy, was previously a producer for Jottum. She presented herself and the brand for the first time in a new series at the children’s fashion fair “MARKET by kleine Fabriek”, which was held from 9 to 10 July 2017 in Amsterdam. According to the new owner, the design team will not be affected by the changes and everything should remain the same. This also applies to the production teams, which will also be taken over.

The current S/S 18 collection is seamlessly linked to the life-affirming motto of Jottum (a Dutch exclamation of happiness). The collection’s designs take you on a journey through traditional Dutch landscapes, passing elements such as windmills, tulips, Delft tiles, and Dutch bicycles.

On 8 June 2017, insolvency proceedings for the parent company New Fashion Kids B.V., the brands Cakewalk, Jottum, and Twinlife in Baarn were begun at the court in Midden-Nederland.
