Nine & Co to take over the German manufacturer Alvi

The Dutch group Nine & Co, which is known for its Noppies brand, is joining forces with the mattress and home textiles specialist. The goal is to strengthen both companies’ positions on the market for products for parents and babies in Europe. Managing Director Stephanie Viehhofer of Alvi is confident that the Alvi brand will benefit from Nine & Co’s expertise. The group is owned by the investment company Vendis Capital.

“By joining the Nine & Co group, our company is taking an important step towards the future. Nine & Co has a strong international position with many well-known maternity and babywear brands. In addition, they have a wealth of expertise in design, innovation, marketing, and sustainability. We believe that Alvi will benefit from this expertise and from Nine & Co’s international sales structure. Together, we can work to strengthen our brands, drive sustainable growth, and provide a better service to our international customers,” says Stephanie Viehhofer, Managing Director of Alvi.

With this move, Alvi can further develop its extensive market knowledge and use expansion to boost the growth of its brand. The customers will remain the focus here. Nine & Co will benefit from Alvi’s leading position in baby sleep products in Germany, Austria, and Switzerland. In addition, Nine & Co will gain a logistical advantage for expansion in the DACH area, thanks to the production facilities in Höxter and Poland.
