This year’s Pitti Bimbo 89 will take place from 20-22 June in Florence and will feature well-known brands and numerous events.

From 20 to 22 June 2019, the international fashion and lifestyle fair Pitti Bimbo 89 will take place in the famous Fortezza da Basso in Florence under the motto “The Pitti Special Click”. Around 603 brands will present themselves on approx. 47,000 sqm. Around 10,000 visitors from over 60 countries are expected. Among them are the top German buyers: KaDeWe, Loden Frey, Peek & Cloppenburg, Barbara Fréres, Engelhorn, Korbmayer and Breuninger.

The Kid’s Lab!

The Kid’s Lab! is the new innovation space for all brands in the KidzFIZZ, #ACTIVELAB, The Nest, EcoEthic and Kid’s Evolution sectors. There, the brands are offered a unique stage – for the conceptual designs of KidzFIZZ, the sporty collections of #ACTIVELAB, the newcomer brands of The Nest, the sustainable labels of EcoEthic and the mini collections of Kid’s Evolution. Thanks to the concept of “Storage Milano” – the architecture and design studio that works with all the major names in the fashion world – each brand can express its own distinctive DNA and at the same time seek dialogue with the other brand worlds.

Highlights of the 89th Pitti Bimbo

Gruppo Armani is represented in Pitti Bimbo for the first time with its junior line Emporio Armani: The Spring/Summer 2020 collection will be presented exclusively to the press and buyers at the Sala della Scherma. Other brands returning to Pitti Bimbo after a long break: Manila Grace, North Sails and Sundek.

In addition, a number of Andalusian exhibitors will present their collections, among them: Abuela Tata, Beatriz Montenero MBC, Babine, Calatea Kids, Mimosines and Nekenia. The participation will be organised by EXTENDA – the Trade Promotion Agency of Andalusia.

In Pitti Bimbo, in the areas of KidzFIZZ, EcoEthic, Fancy Room and ActiveLab, there will also be a group of emerging brands and designers from Georgia, one of the most creative countries on the international fashion scene. The main brands are Antsi Kids, Eshvikids, Giraffe Kids and Spilow. Their participation is organized by LEPL, the government organization of the Georgian Ministry of Economy and Development.

Fashion Show Kids.MODAPORTUGAL

In addition to the annual shows of various brands such as Monnalisa or the association “Childrensfashion from Spain”, there will be a Portuguese selection under the category “Kids.MODAPORTUGAL” on the catwalk for the first time. These include the following brands: Cherry Papaya, Knot, Laranjinha, Patachou, Phi Clothing, Play Up.

The Pitti Special Click is the main theme of the fair

The Pitti Special Click is the theme of the latest exhibition edition, which summarizes the energy circulating around the Fortezza. The Fortezza da Basso forecourt will once again be transformed by a stage design curated by lifestyle designer Sergio Colantuoni. The design of the fair motto was created by illustrator and designer Angelica Gerosa and the new advertising campaign was photographed by Emilio Tini, the talented Italian photographer.
