With around 558 brands, 128 of which exhibited for the first time at the fair (a new record for newcomers), the 25th edition of Playtime Paris again promised exciting discoveries for the trade public this season. The Lifestyle section, which covered an additional 150 square metres, underwent a significant change. Thanks to the new visitor scanning service, the French children’s fashion fair recorded an increase in the number of Chinese visitors, while the number of visitors remained constant in numerous countries.

Playtime remains in the international discourse

The 25th edition of the fair attracted 7235 trade visitors over three days. The strong international presence of the fair was confirmed by 56.7% of international guests, which finally enabled Playtime to break out of the fragile French economic environment. Among the 69 nationalities represented, there was a significant increase in the number of Chinese visitors (which was already apparent before the start of “Playtime Shanghai” this summer) but stagnation in other countries.

New technical support

In order to facilitate the exchange and follow-up for all exhibitors, Playtime for the first time offered a visitor scanning service via its new, specially developed Picascan app. Playtime presented a digital programme aimed at exhibitors (essential for exporting to the United States and the Chinese market) and buyers (deciphering trends).

Playtime Online gains relevance

For the first time, Playtime Online offered its B2B marketplace a physical space in which a selection of the products available online was presented. Launched in 2018, the platform is dedicated to the world of children’s fashion and Maternity Wear and continues to evolve, now carrying 150 brands and 3000 buyers.
