The continuation of the KAWS x Sesame Street UT collection is expected for November 19, 2018. The second cooperation collection between Uniqlo’s T-shirt brand UT and the American pop-up artist and designer Brian Donnelly, known under his stage name KAWS, will be released.

Uniqlo is now known for its colourful variations on T-shirt co-operations with Disney, Pixar and Andy Warhol, for example. Only last year, in collaboration with KAWS, the Peanuts collection appeared, in which the cartoon characters Snoopy and Woodstock were staged on the T-shirts.

Uniqlo presents second cooperation collection with KAWS

Sesame Street moved from TV to wardrobe: the first collection “KAWS x SESAM STREET UT” appeared on June 29, 2018. Due to the extreme success, there is now a second part of the collection, which also includes KAWS interpretations of the five main characters: Elmo, Krümelmonster, Bibo, Ernie and Bert as cuddly toys. The complete set of the five-piece team will appear on the market in a limited edition. The cuddly toy set with box costs 149.90 euros. Ernie and Co. can also be purchased individually for 29.90 Euro.

The Sesame Street delights big and small

The second collection, which will appear on the market on 19 November, will also feature the various characters of Sesame Street on T-shirts and pullovers for young and old: the crumb monster invites people to eat biscuits excessively, the lovely red monster Elmo makes for a good mood and Ernies laughter carries the risk of infection.

“The T-shirts that result from such cooperations are a kind of work of art that reflects the individuality and taste of the wearer,” says Uniqlo.

The second edition comprises a T-shirt and sweater collection for women, men and children and is made up of a total of 26 colours and patterns, nine of which are for children. The price for the children’s T-shirts is 9.90 euros and for the pullovers 14.90 euros.

New interpretation of Sesame Street

The idea to bring the characters of Sesame Street onto the T-shirts came from the artist himself. The collection was created exclusively for UT and is intended to give people the opportunity to wear the familiar characters from the perspective of KAWS.
