From 31 January to 2 February 2018, the international children’s fashion fair CIFF Kids invited to the collection preview for the new season AW2018/2019. Luna Media was represented with the B2C magazines Luna Magazin, Mum Magazin as well as the B2B media Luna Journal, Lookbook and Brandbible with its own information stand.

Potential for Scandinavian newcomer brands

While established Scandinavian brands such as Bisgaard, Soft Gallery or Someday Soon had been represented at trade fairs such as Playtime Paris or Pitti Bimbo in Florence days before, many up-and-coming brands celebrated their debut collections in the exhibition hall near Forum, in the middle of the Danish capital. Among them are brands such as Lil’ Boo from the baby and accessories segment: “With Lil’ Boo we would like to concentrate on the Scandinavian market. Larger trade fairs such as Playtime Paris or Pitti Bimbo are currently out of the question for us. Nevertheless, we see a great opportunity to get in touch with international buyers at CIFF Kids,” said the two founders Peter and Nana. As is well known, CIFF Kids has a great dynamic and attracts not only buyers from Denmark. Other Scandinavian countries such as Sweden, Norway and Finland – but also Belgium, Germany, Great Britain and Switzerland were represented at the fair.

”This was the first time we could introduce HOLMM. at CIFF Kids and we were hugely honored by the great welcome we received. There was a nice atmosphere around our booth and there was great interest in our new brand. We are looking forward to August, where we will definitely participate again”,
Marie-Louise Fischer, Proprietor & Creative Director, HOLMM ApS.

Profit through parallel events

In addition to the CIFF Kids, the B2B trade fairs Revolver and CIFF – with numerous premium brands, denim, streetwear but also womenswear labels in the portfolio – as well as the Copenhagen Fashion Week are taking place in parallel with the CIFF Kids. A particularly flourishing period in which buyers can attend numerous events at the same time and all trade fairs will be mutually beneficial.

Current visitor numbers were not yet available at the time of going to press.
