On 30 April, BTE (Bundesverband des deutschen Textileinzelhandels e.V.) - Managing Director Jürgen Dax - retired. Dax’s successor as of 1 May is Dipl. Geographer Rolf Pangels.

Jürgen Dax joined the BTE in 1992 and was appointed Chief Executive Officer of the BTE by the Managing Director in 1997.

His successor, Rolf Pangels, moved from Galeria Kaufhof to BTE on 1 November. Since 2011, he has been responsible at Galeria Kaufhof for location/city development and political contacts. Previously, he had worked for the BAG (Association of Department Stores and Large Companies) since 1996 with responsibility for urban development, transport and planning. In 2005 he took over the position as BAG Managing Director and in 2010 managed the merger of BAG with HDE to form Handelsverband Deutschland, where he was subsequently responsible for location development and transport policy.
