Since September, Dirk Gehring has been supporting Allison GmbH as the new Chief Financial Officer. Gehring comes from the children’s hardware sector and will support the sales company for the Joie, Nuna and Graco brands in the future. Among other things, he will concentrate on the strategic expansion of commercial structures.

Allison GmbH was able to increase its sales by 30 percent in 2018.

Managing Director Oliver Mecky expects growth to increase in 2019: “We have established ourselves in the market as a firm player and are constantly increasing our share. This makes it all the more important to set the course in such a way that our company remains successful in the long term. With Dirk Gehring, we have gained exactly the right man for the job and we are glad that he enriches our team,” says Managing Director Oliver Mecky.

Future tasks of Dirk Gehring

In his function as Chief Financial Officer, Gehring is responsible for Finance & Controlling, Legal Affairs and IT as well as operational HR issues: “I look forward to contributing my professional know-how from more than 20 years in various management positions at Allison,” Gehring said at the start. “The growth dynamics of the company are impressive and my goal is quite clear: to secure and accompany this development with the right structures and processes.

Corporate growth

With regard to the company’s growth, Allison GmbH also relies on the distribution of the Graco brand, which has just been added to the portfolio. Last year, the Wonderland Group, to which Allison GmbH belongs, was granted the distribution licence for the EMEA region. The brand presented its new products for the first time at Kind + Jugend 2019. Due to a positive response from the dealers, Mecky expects a successful market launch: “Even before the trade fair, we had selected dealers visiting us in Frankenthal to present the Graco products to you. The response was very good, so we expect a successful market launch.”
